The solo exhibition “MY PAINTINGS” by artist DASHDEMED Sampil has opened in the National Art Gallery of Mongolia.
Artist S. Dashdemed graduated from the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Mongolia and later pursued his studies in Western Europe from 2002 to 2008, graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg, Germany. He currently lives and works in Germany. He has held both solo and group exhibitions in many European countries and was awarded the Bavarian Young Artists’ Grand Prize in 2009 and the Nuremberg City Prize for Visual Arts in 2019.
The exhibition “My Paintings” is the artist’s first exhibition in Mongolia and features more than 60 works, including pieces created in Mongolia in the early 1990s as well as works produced in Germany since 2000. The exhibition showcases paintings, drawings, graphic and black-and-white works, relief materials, sculpture, installation art, monumental wall paintings, digital and video art.
The exhibition will run until February 4, 2026, and visitors are warmly invited to explore the artist’s creative journey, the evolution of his thinking, and his continuous artistic exploration.
