Idol paintings are known as idol paintings, god paintings, and precious paintings among Mongolians, and the art of depicting gods, which has been developing since ancient times, is known worldwide as TANKA. The content of idol paintings is not limited to portraits of gods, but covers a wide range, such as scriptures, biographies of gods, palaces, temples, incarnations of teachers and nobles, portraits of historical figures, etc. Also, according to the method of creation, they are called nagtan-black bill, gartan-white bill, martan-red bill, serten-yellow bill. Idol painting is a complex art that not only depicts the portraits and idols of gods, but also includes the customs, traditions, and customs of Mongolians. The exhibition features 18th century figures of Gombo Mahgal from the Erdene Zuu Museum, Ten Khangal Gods from the Gombogur and Choijin Lama Temple Museums, portraits of the High Saint Zanabazar from the Bogd Khan Palace Museum, Fine Arts Museum, and the best works of the 19th century. Also, for the first time, more than 200 idol images, consisting of idol images from the smallest size of 10 cm to 300 cm high, are presented to the public.
